This year Nobile Kiteboarding celebrates its 10th anniversary. The Polish company from Bielsko-Biała is among the world’s best producers of kitesurfing equipment. It sets standards and determines directions in developing this sport. The family business, founded by Dariusz Rosiak, continuously searches for new solutions, just like the patented W-Connection system, which translates into easy and stable assembling the board with two parts. As a result, the user saves money for additional luggage and enjoys kitesurfing in every part of the globe.
The history of kiteboarding has already 30 years. It was initiated by two brothers – Dominique and Bruno Legaignoux. The water sports fiends used the kite on two strings and started surfing on waves. Since then the kiteboarding has warmed up. The kites, bars and boards have been improved. The sport has become spectacular, safer and available for everyone. However, the big difficulty is still the transport of the equipment and charges connected with it. Kitesurfers have their favourite locations: Brazil, Zanzibar, Australia, the coast of Wales, the south of France and Spain, Canary Islands, Egypt, Republic of South Africa, California, Vietnam, Malaysia and Southern America. The airlines treat the equipment as a n0n-standard luggage and collect extra fees which can amount up to hundreds of dollars yearly. The first approach to split boards had been made earlier, but it was Nobile that developed the idea and patented the best way of board assembly: fast, easy, resistant, and what’s even more important – available in serial production.
The revolution started in 2013, when Dariusz Rosiak, the Nobile founder and owner, patented the W-Connection solution, better known as the split. Thanks to W-Connection, the kiteboard can be easily and quickly dismantled into two pieces. In such form the board altogether with the rest of the equipment fits in the luggage with no problems. It is especially important with the Wave board – Nobile Infinity.
Thanks to this solution kitesurfers save a significant amounts of money when air travelling and the board investment more than pays for itself. It’s worth to emphasize that all board models with W-Connection are made of the best materials available, as well as using the latest technologies in Nobile Bielsko-Biała factory. The most important system in Nobile Splitboards is the APS Core Technology (Added Pre Stress by Nano Technology). It’s a Nobile patent, used in most of Polish producer’s products, as well as by other brands worldwide. In the process of forming the board inside the press the innovative technology of pre-stress is used. During this process the fibres of wooden wedge are permanently stretched into wavy form, thus storing the energy within the board’s core. As a result, we get comfortable yet dynamic, user-friendly board with optimal rigidity. This technology allows to use less materials, making the board lighter, compared to standard structures. Experienced kitesurfers, who pay a great attention to the board features, say that they don’t feel any difference between the classic board and the split one. Moreover, the Nobile “human concept” idea makes the boards’ parameters optimally designed , taking under consideration both human capabilities and limitations, in order to provide the maximum comfort and safety.
Nobile offers few models with W-Connection technology, or split:
* Nobile NHP Splitboard – Freestyle
* Nobile Flying Carpet Splitboard – Freeride
* Nobile Infinity Splitboard – Wave
The NHP Split model is a freestyle board, where the perceptible flex is increased by 20 per cent, compared to the regular NHP model, which guarantees the extra convenience and very comfortable ride.
The Flying Carpet Split is a perfect solution for low-wind conditions, just as its regular equivalent, which has been lately highly-valued in American “The Kiteboarder Magazine” test. It’s combined version has another advantage – it will fit into any trunk and fly anywhere in standard luggage.
The Infinity Split model is designed to make the best of the W-Connection solution. It’s a world’s first Wave board model with wooden core, which can be disconnected as well during the transport. It’s a favourite board of Jose Luengo, the triple World Champion in Wave formula, the winner of the prestigious “Master of the Ocean” contest, as well as the international referee in wave competitions.
The W-Connection solution has passed both rigorous tests of riding properties, as well as the ones for efficiency in cost reduction when travelling to favourite spots around the world. In the bag which meets the size and weight standards, even in low-cost airlines, there’s enough space for: Nobile Infinity Splitboard, Nobile NHP Splitboard, two kites, foam, trapezoid, bar, pump and clothes.
This year Nobile Kiteboarding celebrates its 10th anniversary. The dream of Rosiak family to create the top-quality innovative products, in order to give maximum satisfaction, came true. The company does not persist in searching for new, better technological solutions, the most of which will be introduced by well-known and sought-after brands worldwide, as it has been so far. In 2014 Nobile conquers the world. The Nobile Tour came back from USA, and now it travels across the Europe, spot after spot, to participate in huge Virgin Armada Kiteboarding event in Wales this autumn.
“We’re the family company and so is the atmosphere about it. More than 100 people creates the Nobile world. We love what we do. Many of us practice sports actively. In Nobile we all want the products we make to be enjoyed and reputed all over the world, as it has been so far. We work on it on a daily basis” – says Dariusz Rosiak.
Nobile Wave Board is the newest product in our collection. We just recieved some pictures of Nobile founder Dariusz Rosiak testing this fun machine in Cabo Verde.
